More and more movies are being converted into 3D because of the increase in sales that result from it. Notable examples include Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans. The trend is only set to continue when an entire computer-animated super hero movie, Megamind, arrives later this year in 3D. Megamind is one of DreamWorks' greatest most recent endeavors, and will be distributed by Paramount starting November 5, 2010. The movie continues the success of its predecessor, which grossed nearly $320 million worldwide. It also boasts a star-studded cast including Will Ferrell (Megamind), Tina Fey (Roxanne Ritchi), Brad Pitt (Terry Perry), Jonah Hill (Hal), David Cross (Dr. Nefario) and so many more. Megamind is an action-comedy superhero film; however, the story itself will be entirely original. It sticks to the same basic formula that helped make the first movie a hit. It was already well-known that Brett Ratner (Rush Hour) would be directing Megamind. He had already made an impressive career for himself by directing the Rush Hour trilogy; however, he has also made other great films like Tower Heist, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and X-Men: The Last Stand. Of course, it is still unknown who will be playing all those famous characters as well as if there will be any real cameos from major stars as in the first movie. The film is still in production, and no official word has been released about the cast. The last we heard was that Jonah Hill would be playing the main character's (Megamind) sidekick and best friend Hal. Clive Owen had been previously announced as playing the movie's villain, but he has recently dropped out of the film according to FilmJerk.net. It's uncertain whether or not he will be replaced by another actor at this time; however, his character is still expected to be funny on some level even if he isn't onscreen for long. cfa1e77820
